Beautiful restoration, overall rediscovery of this masterpiece! Very nice box loaded metal as a bonus. A buy eyes closed! Delivery and perfect condition! I recommend. In addition, the price was very affordable for this cult film which I need in my collection. Golden Lion at the Venice film Festival in 1951, Rashomon is the film that brought Kurosawa, after a small decade career, access to an international fame. Has his view, one understands it ; for the time the work is totally iconoclast : virtuosity of execution with a starting material however fairly minimalist (little scenes - a jungle, a forest, a "tribunal" - few characters), the bursting of the linearity of the narrative as the introduction of a process few, if ever, used : the multiplicity of points of view, thus opening up discussions on exciting topics in the devil that are the truth (who knows? The idealized vision and right-thinking of the US army with the transgression welcome because it is presented in a context where it finds its justification in the moral values high. The casting is perfect. This film gives the opportunity to review the beautiful, talented, and late Natalie Wood. For me, a cult film. I have to see it twenty times (mostly on VHS :) great Peter SellersA see it in English if possible, to assess the focus. In English, it works well but it is less hilarious. This is the kind of film that starts slowly, in quite a classic way, and accelerates a little (one is 68 I think, therefore, it is of course much slower than "visitors"), but leaves the classic and hand in a delirium.
